Motorcycle Riders Unveiled: Embrace Your True Riding Persona
June 4, 2023

Motorcycle riders’ personas and Archetypes can vary depending on various factors such as region, culture, personal preferences, etc. However, here are some of the most common ones associated with motorcycle riders. Check them out and test if any of them match your style:

The "Rebel": This rider always likes to challenge and push boundaries. He enjoys a desire to live outside of society's rules and expectations.

The "Adventurer": He is a rider who thrives on taking risks and exploring the unknown. He is into adventure and freedom. He is eager to explore new places and push himself to new limits.

The "Maverick": This type of riders goes against the grain and is not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom. Rejects mainstream motorcycle culture or embraces a unique style of riding.

The "Sage":  This is an experienced rider who is highly skilled and experienced in riding motorcycles and has gained wisdom and insight from his years of riding.

The "Museum Curator": This person may be the rider that never sells a motorcycle he has bought. He might be the person that goes from one segment of riding to another but always keeps the last bike. He might also be a vintage motorcycle collector or just a moto-hoarder.

The "Artist": This rider is usually associated with custom paint, vinyl graphics, or handmade details. He usually spends the winter in the garage tinkering, grinding, painting, and polishing, and when the spring comes, the butterfly emerges from the shed. He shows up to a few bike nights, maybe a show, and the next thing you know, you spot the bike on the marketplace. For the artist, it’s not about riding or even having the bike, it’s about building it and sharing it with the community.

The "FOMO” Rider (Fear Of Missing Out Motorcycle Rider): This rider often has the “latest and greatest” bike. For him it’s not about having a “better” bike than the rest of the crew, it’s actually about “experiencing” everything the motorcycle market has to offer.

The "Racer": The Racer is a specific type of motorcyclist. Easier to spot him in street bike circles, the racer has a high-performance motorcycle in the garage; likely sans headlight and turn signals. The racer feels much safer in full leather and as far away from licensed automobile drivers as possible. The racer may not actively compete, only attending track days; their focus is (almost) solely on “closed course” motorcycling.

The "Traveler": For this rider, it’s about the journey, not the destination. The traveler is interested in seeing new places, meeting new people, and gathering experiences. Coincidentally, the traveler chose the motorcycle as the best means to accomplish those goals. The traveler often appreciates a more relaxed pace, both because he wants to maximize the advantages of riding a motorcycle.

The "Newbie": This rider is enthusiastic, but also slightly terrified and trying not to show it. He is new to riding and trying to figure out how to live the experience.
